Who is Soren Sjogren?

I am an officer in the Danish Army attached to the Guards Hussars Regiment. I have been deployed to Iraq in 2007 and Afghanistan’s Helmand Province in 2009.

The short version:

• 2011 Published a book on my experiences as a platoon commander in Iraq and Afghanistan in Danish
• 2010 – 2011 Taught small unit tactics and operations at the Royal Danish Military Academy
• 2010 Father
• 2009 Infantry platoon commander in Afghanistan
• 2007 RECCE troop commander in Iraq
• 2006 and until  2011: Part of the Danish Military National Team in orienteering
• 2005 Commissioned 1st Lieutenant
• 2000 Drafed to the Army (Yes, we sill have conscription)
• 1980 Born in Nykoening F, Denmark
